Santa Fe Trail Days

On the third Friday and Saturday in September New Franklin celebrates the original starting point of the trail. For over 40 years food and craft vendors have been lining the streets and participating in different events. Some of these events include a Cruise-In, dancing, demonstrations, performances, contests and entertainment for kids, teens and adults. On Saturday the parade has theme-oriented floats, old cars, Conestoga wagon, carriages, horses, area musicians and so much more!  Each evening includes night-time activities, dancing, bands and a beer garden!

Lion's Club Christmas Parade

Second Saturday in December. Floats and bands lead the way for Santa. The highlights of the day for the little ones is when they sit on Santa's lap to share their Christmas wishes and of course come away with a large bag of candy!

University Farm Missouri Chestnut Roast

Every October, visitors can sample roasted chestnuts, attend cooking demonstrations, take farm tours, listen to live music, and view Missouri made products. Tours of the Hickman House highlight the day. The event is free and open to the public and features activities for all age groups.

Mo Mug Craft Beer Festival

Takes place every Fall. This is a time for Missouri craft brewers to showcase their craft beers. Set in downtown New Franklin, this event caters to craft beer brewers and food vendors. Craft brew demonstrations are held throughout the afternoon, beer tastings and music make for a fun filled afternoon.
